Brief History
Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit, Bronx, New York
The Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit, located in the Bronx, New York, United States, was established on September 1, 2019
The inaugural service took place at 1214 Southern Blvd, Bronx, New York, with services starting at 8 am. At the outset, the church had 21 attendees, both adults and children. Since then, the congregation has grown significantly, boasting over 100 members of all ages.
The Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit is proudly affiliated with CONNAM, the Church of Nigeria North America Mission. Formerly known as the Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA), CONNAM was originally established in 2005 as a missionary body of the Church of Nigeria (CON). While initially forming a ministry partnership with the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA), in 2019, CONNAM redefined its focus to serve Nigerian-American Anglican churches in North America, concluding its dual jurisdiction arrangement with the ACNA. This was particularly significant for churches that had disaffiliated from the Episcopal Church in the United States of America (ECUSA).
Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit is a 5O 1c organization registered in the State of New York. All donations are tax deductible.
